Meet Mike & Alicia Hernon

Mike and Alicia Hernon have been married for over thirty years and are the parents of ten children and grandparents to eight. Through decades of marriage, family life, and shared mission, they’ve learned firsthand that strong marriages aren’t built by accident—they’re built when couples make time for each other and invite God into the center of their life together.

Like every marriage, theirs has known seasons of joy, challenge, growth, and grace. Along the way, they’ve walked with countless couples—listening to their stories, praying with them, and helping them rediscover hope, laughter, and connection in their marriages.

The Catholic Couples Getaway was born from a simple conviction: married couples need space.

Space to slow down.
Space to talk honestly.
Space to pray together.
Space to remember why they fell in love.

Mike and Alicia don’t host the Getaway as distant speakers or experts, but as fellow pilgrims who believe deeply in the Church’s vision for marriage and the transforming power of God’s grace. They’ll be with you throughout the experience—sharing meals, praying alongside you, and creating an atmosphere where couples feel seen, welcomed, and at ease.

Their desire is simple: that you would return home rested, renewed, and more deeply united—with each other and with the Lord.
